Target Group:

Is youth 14 years up to 18 years males and females who are assessed as being homeless by definition, and requiring medium to long-term accommodation.

The definition of homelessness utilised by Mount View Haven is as follows:

A person is homeless if he or she does not have access to safe and secure and adequate housing. Hence, even if a person has a physical home, they would be considered homeless if:

They were not safe at home;

They had no legal right to continued occupation of their home (security of tenure); or,

The home lacked the amenities or resources for living

Where we are at now:

On the 13th day of June 2006 our organisation known as Mount View Haven was registered as an Incorporated.

On the 25th day of August 2006 our organisation became registered as a Charity.

On the 11th day of September 2006 application was made to the Taxation Department for Endorsement as a Deductible Gift Recipient. We are waiting a reply.

Mount View Haven is moving along towards advertising campaign to take in radio, TV, and local paper. Along with posters, flyers, brochures and prospectus
